"The only way for it to stop is to let people know what is going on so that the school can get more involved and that no other lives has to be taken.

  6. Debbie Piscitella had had it with the 14-year-old boy, Jon, who tormented her 13-year-old daughter and posted cruel and sexual comments on Facebook. After the school’s administration did nothing to stop the taunting, Debbie went to the police, who still did not act on her behalf. Finally, after coming face-to-face with Jon, Debbie yelled and strangled him and was later put in jail.

She eventually made bail and appeared on “Good Morning America,” to express regret for her actions and share the rest of the story. Meanwhile, her daughter, McKenna, was still so hurt by the experience that she was too choked up to speak.

  8. Joe Bell decided to quit his job in La Grande, Oregon and embark on a journey toward New York City, where his son dreamed of working in photography or fashion. Bell’s son, Jadin, was just 15-years-old when he killed himself after being bullied at school for being gay.

Joe Bell, 45, decided to walk in his honor and spread the message to stop bullying saying, “I miss my son Jadin with all my heart and soul. I know you’re with me on this walk.” After six months of walking in the rain, finding shelter in ditches, and sharing his son’s story, Joe Bell was tragically killed by a tractor-trailer on October 9, 2013.

  9. After Jesse Logan, 18, broke up with her boyfriend, he sent the nude pictures of Jesse around the school, which prompted young girls to harass Jesse to the point where she didn’t want to go to class. Jesse was brave enough to go on a local television and share her story of shame and torment and hopefully raise awareness of her cause.

Two months later, Jesse Logan hanged herself in her bedroom. Her mother, Cynthia Logan, is still devastated and upset that she never knew the extent of her daughter’s traumatizing bullying. She said that officials at Jesse’s high school were aware of the harassment, but did not take action to stop it, instead telling her to approach the girls and ask to have the pictures deleted. Clearly that attempt was futile.

  12. It was a terrifying incident of bullying that took place back in January. Thirteen year old Nadin Khoury was beaten by a group of bigger, older students who hung him on a fence and recorded the attack on their phones. They then posted their video on the Internet for the entire world to see, hoping to further embarrass and humiliate Nadin. But unlike many victims, Nadin stood up to his attackers and identified them to the police. They were briefly suspended, but eventually returned to Nadin’s public school.

Thirty miles away, I was the Head of School at Wyncote Academy, a small, private college prep school located just north of Philadelphia. I knew Nadin could not flourish in his old school and thought I knew what he felt like. You see, I too was bullied when I was Nadin’s age.

After seeing Nadin’s story, I shared my memories of being bullied with some of my colleagues and found that most of us had stories to share. It was then that we realized how commonplace bullying really is. Together, we decided to take a stand against bullying and to send out a message to others.

So I reached out to Nadin and made an offer he was happy to accept…a full scholarship to Wyncote Academy and a chance to start over in a safe and nurturing environment with a strong anti-bullying policy.

Today, Nadin is happy and successful at Wyncote Academy. And both Nadin and I have received national recognition for the tough journey that brought us together. But we have also learned the importance of sharing our message with others

  13. But the outgoing fifth grader packed his bag and went to school at Dunaire Elementary School in DeKalb County, Georgia.

He came home much happier than when he left in the morning, smiling as he handed his mother, Masika Bermudez, a glowing report card full of A's and B's. She gave him a high-five and he went upstairs to his room as she prepared dinner.

A little later, when his younger sister called him to come down to eat, Jaheem didn't answer.

So mother and daughter climbed the stairs to Jaheem's room and opened the door.

Jaheem was hanging by his belt in the closet.

"I always used to see these things on TV, dead people on the news," says Bermudez. "I saw somebody die and to see this dead person is your son, hanging there, a young boy. ... To hang yourself like that, you've got to really be tired of something."

  14. So I'm currently getting bullied, these girls just make sly comments about me and my friend. We sit in lessons while they talk about us, we just put our heads down and choose to ignore it. Even though sometimes the bullies pressure us into answering them. The bullies make me feel small, like I have nothing to live for, as if they don't care about me. If I answer a question in a lesson, and get it wrong the bullies suddenly say "What's she on about?" "She's chatting sh**t!" They constantly swear at me and call me names. At the moment I have to jump between friend groups because the bullies sit with most of my year on a table at break and lunch, so I have no where to go. I end up going over to my boyfriend. We started going out over a year ago, we went through loads of tough times but he helped me and made me happy and special. Unfortunately a few (the bullies) get involved into our relationship, telling him things I trusted them (because I thought they were my friends) not to say. Then they go and mix up my words and me and my boyfriend have a massive row, so I'm then left with no one. I've tried many things, cutting myself, telling mum, at one point I kept it in. This isi the time I'm coming out. People judge me on my appearance and some of the medical problems I have like my joints and asthma. They make up rumors, and I'm the one that's in tears. They never think of anyone else except themselves. Most of the time I now take out my anger in my dance.

Me and my friend are going to my head of year tomorrow because she gets it the same as me. If this doesn't get sorted then we will consider moving schools because my school is terrible with bulling they never do anything apart from call the main people in for meetings and then when it's all sorted it gets left a few days and it all kicks off again.

I'll email the resolution to this incident.
